Having a reliable website analytics tool is essential for a company like ours. I am the Director of Social Media for QuadW Inc and I manage several clients’ search engine optimization campaigns. I was offered a chance to try out a new product by SeeVolution to give a more complete and real time report of users on a certain web site. I’d like to tell you about how SeeVolution helped us reorganize our site to fit with what our users were looking for. I am the Social Media director for an online car rental and online travel website RobinRent and we were lucky enough to have a sneak peak at the heatmap overlay map offered by SeeVolution. The technology is absolutely amazing because we’re able to monitor our users the instant they come on the site to the instant they leave the site. We had our Twitter name on the site with a little icon saying to follow us, but we didn’t have the icon linking anywhere. This made us realize that we should have something there that would link directly to our Twitter page, and we also took another step to add a scrolling Twitter feed offering other posts about travel and car rentals. We’ve seen an increase in users clicking that area on our site, and those visitors led to some car rental bookings! We also cleaned up other areas of our sites that were registered by SeeVolution as cold spots on our site, so we added some graphics and a customer comment area on the site. We got a special invite to preview the new heatmap technology by SeeVolution for their website analytics tool. I’m the SEO Campaign Manager at the website Max Cash Title Loans and I made a decision to accept the invite because I was really interested in this new heatmap technology. It was simply fascinating to see where all the visitors on our site actually scrolled, clicked and moved their mouse over our site! The information is displayed in real time and SeeVolution tracks every one of our users’ and visitors’ paths on the site for us to examine the site and make some changes to where people aren’t clicking at and improve the heavy traffic areas on our site. SeeVolution made an overlay map that you can move around your site and it has no impact on our site and it doesn’t hinder our visitors interaction on the site when I monitor their actions on the map. We’re going to continue to use SeeVolution for our SEO campaign and I definitely recommend their website analytics program to anyone who needs to know everything about their users on your site.
